An electrical connecting terminal device having an insulation-piercing terminal contact (16) which is arranged in an insulating material housing (1) is constructed especially for use for automatic wiring, in such a manner that the housing, on at least one side, has a slot- or groove-like depression (21), which opens towards the insertion side for the conductor, adjacent to the insertion slot for the insulation-piercing terminal contact.
