Abstract

The invention relates to a device for operating a clamping bar relative to the tensioning bar of the plate cylinder of a rotary printing machine, particularly a rotary offset sheet printing machine, in which the clamping bar (3) is mounted via individual ball-jointed pins (5) so as to be pivotable relative to the tensioning bar (2) in the manner of a two-arm lever. The ball-jointed pin (5) is supported on the tensioning bar (2) via a disc (15) and a compression spring (16) and it can be moved via a lifting element (9), consisting of a piston (11) and a cylinder bush (10), counter to the force of the compression spring (16) when subjected to a pressure medium. The clamping bar (3) can thus be relieved by remote control relative to the tensioning bar (2), after which the profiled shaft (7) can be turned by applying only very little force. <IMAGE>
