Zur Messung der Klemmenspannung wird die Ankerwicklung an zwei bestimmten Punkten angezapft. Es ist an sich bekannt, bei Gleichstrommaschinen neben dem Kollektor zur Abnahme des Gleichstromes weitere Schleifringe vorzusehen, an denen dem Anker Wechselspannung entnommen wird. Von den Schleifringen kann Wechselspannung abgenommen und insbesondere -über einen Spannungswandler gemessen werden. An den Sekundärkreis des Spannungswandlers wird dann das entsprechend geeichte Meßinstrument oder irgendwelche Regulier- und Schutzeinrichtungen angeschlossen. Die Verluste in dem Spannungswandler können als verhältnismäßig gering bezeichnet werden. Durch die Zwischenschaltung des Wandlers, dessen Sekundärkreis geerdet werden kann, wird die Verwendung eines Niederspannungsinstrumentes ermöglicht. Der Spannungswandler kann in den Anker der Maschine eingebaut werden, wobei der Sekundärkreis mit den Schleifringen verbunden wird.
