Abstract

An isolating switch is to be adapted to the heavy currents occurring during busbar changes at low operating voltages. To this end, an auxiliary contact pin (3), which is located in a counter-contact (2) in the known manner and acts as a preliminary contact, is fitted with an auxiliary sliding contact (11). The auxiliary contact pin (3) runs off this auxiliary sliding contact (11) after the counter-contact member has made contact. Thus the rated current is conducted solely along the main current track. (The auxiliary contact pin runs off the auxiliary sliding contact.)
