Dieses Verfahren kann nun noch dadurch verbessert werden, daß man bei der Vorwärmung der zu schweißenden Schienenenden nicht, wie bisher üblich, den ganzen von der Form umschlossenen Teil der Schienen vorwärmt, sondern nur den Teil, der durch Zwischenguß mit aluminogenetischem Eisen verschweißt werden soll, nämlich die Schienenköpfe. Hierdurch wird die Zeitdauer der Vorwärmung wesentlich herabgesetzt, was eine Verkürzung der Arbeitszeit und eine wesentliche Ersparnis an Brennstoff ergibt.
