Description
Method of Attaching Soles to Shoes The invention relates to discloses a method of attaching soles to shoes by means of one of one Cellulose derivative of existing cement. It is known to serve as a putty substance Cellulose derivatives in the form of foils between the shoe parts to be connected bring them and make them sticky with the help of a solvent. It was too already proposed these foils in order to enlarge their surface and "around to facilitate the penetration of the solvent or dueling agent, with perforations, wavy expressions @u. Like. To provide. In the method according to the invention is now proceeded in such a way that a sole and a shoe together with a cellulose derivative fiber material located between the sole and the bottom of the shoe, for example cellulose acetate. The fiber possesses while the shape of a yarn, braid or fabric o. The like. And is means a solvent or swelling agent made adhesive, so that if then a pressure is exerted on the shoe and the sole, the parts to be connected firmly to one another be liable. The use of the cellulose derivative as a fiber material in the form of a yarn, Braid or fabric or the like. Has the advantage that the surface of the same very is greatly enlarged, resulting in rapid action and penetration of the solvent takes place at all points of the cement. Those between the small fibers of the Yarn, braid or fabric o. The like. Occurring when immersed in the solvent Capillary forces cause the solvent to quickly get to all parts of the cement arrives and penetrates the same effectively.

Fig. 7 ist eine Perspektivansicht einer Sohle, die zum Ankitten an den in Fig. 6 dargestellten Schuh vorbereitet worden ist.6 is a perspective view of a frame pierced shoe; wherein the fabric strip according to the invention on the frame and by the trimming the surface created by the stitch is applied. Fig. 7 is FIG. 6 is a perspective view of a sole suitable for anchoring to the one shown in FIG Shoe has been prepared.
When carrying out the method according to the invention, the sole and the shoe bottom in the type known from the manufacture of cemented shoes and prepared way. 1 shows a shoe on a last 12. It has an insole 14 on which the pinched edge portion 16 of the upper leather 18 is attached to both sides of the shoe bottom by clips 2o. The edge part 16 of the upper leather 18 may at the top z. B. by putty and at the end of the paragraph Täcks 22 are held in pinch position. The shoe shown has a Articulation piece 24 made of metal, and furthermore a ball-out material is on the front part of the shoe has been applied in the form of a felt covering 26. The lasting impact 16 des Upper leather is then suitably, e.g. B. by roughening, to absorb putty prepared.
As can be seen in FIG. 2, the edge part 32 of the outsole 3o is roughened. The sole edge on the joint and front part is slightly tempered to make it thin To create edge effects, of course draining takes place before roughening, If desired, the sole can still be preformed to adapt to the bottom of the shoe are, and the sole shown in Fig. a is after the deflation, but before Roughened, shaped. The sole 34 in FIG. 4, on the other hand, is flat and not preformed.
B. Aceton, gelöst werden."To attach the soles to the shoes according to the invention a fabric strip as shown at 36 (Fig. 3) is used. The strip of fabric consists of a plurality of loosely twisted strands of yarn. The strands of yarn are made from a fiber material that has the property when with a suitable solvent treated to form a putty or glue. Examples of such substances are cellulose esters, such as. B. cellulose acetate or cellulose nitrate. These substances can for the purpose of forming a putty by various solvents, z. B. Acetone.
The fabric strip 36 is first treated with the solvent, z. By inserting the strip into a bath of the solvent, and then is placed on the cemented surface of one of the two parts to be cemented. However, it can also the strip can only be treated with the solvent after it has been applied to the Putty surface of one of the parts has been applied. As shown in Fig. 2, the strip 36 after being treated with the solvent and preferably by is soaked in the solvent, progressing along the edge portion of the sole laid on, the edge of the strip parallel to the sole edge and in a small distance to it, e.g. B. 3 to 5 mm, is placed inwards from the edge of the sole. The dashed lines 37 (Fig. 2) indicate the part of the sole on which the strip 36 still has to be laid. The shoe and the sole are then made in a known manner assembled and put under pressure in a press. The action of the solvent on the material of the fabric strip 36 creates a putty that, when exercised the pressure is pressed into the shape of a covering between the sole and the shoe bottom the sole is cemented to the bottom of the shoe in an effective way. The for Anchor the sole to the shoe necessary amount of putty can be used in the execution of the method according to the invention can be easily dimensioned because the fabric strip used is of uniform nature and has a certain advantageous width, so that the sole can be cemented to the shoe with a minimum amount of putty and a . Maximum amount of flexibility of the shoe is reached.
In Fig. 6 and 7, the cementing of a sole 4o on a frame shoe 42 explained according to the invention. As can be seen, the edge portion 44 of the sole, as usual, roughened. The upper leather of the shoe is according to the known Frame shoe method has been pinched to the lip of an insole 44, and a Frame 46 is on the pinched part of the upper leather and on the lip of the insole 44 was sewn, whereupon this so-called one-shot seam, as known, was trimmed is. A hinge part 48 is attached to the insole and the shoe bottom, such as indicated at 5o, has been balled out. The surface that engages the sole of the frame 46 and the edge surfaces of the frame, the upper leather and the insole lip, which have been caused by the one-needle cutting are then roughened. A strip of fabric 36, previously cleaned with a suitable solvent has been treated, applied to the roughened edge part of the sole or, as shown in Fig. 6, on the surface of the sole engaging Frame and on the edge surfaces caused by the inner seam trimming have been launched. Then the sole and the shoe are put together and pressurized until the effect of the solvent on the strip 36 created putty has sufficiently set to hold the sole on the shoe.
The method according to the invention is besides cementing soles in place Can also be used on shoes for other purposes. In Fig. 5 the method is according to of the invention in its application for closing the tear flap one Sole represented by putty. A shoe 50 has an outsole 52. The outsole is sooty and has been sewn onto the bottom of the shoe through stitches in the crack. In order to cover the tear flap 54 and to close the tear in a known manner the fabric strip 36 according to the invention after being treated with a solvent has been inserted into the soot, whereupon the tear flap is turned over again is, as indicated at 56, and then pressed against the strip 36, whereby the flap 54 is cemented in place.
.The term fabric or fabric strip is not only intended to mean textile fabric, whether felted, woven, braided, knitted, etc., include, but also yarn from which one or more strands when performing the method according to of the invention can be used. The amount of tissue to be used is determined of course depending on the nature of the parts to be cemented. When using a preformed sole according to FIG. 2 in the embodiment of the invention has been found that the pressure is already removed after 70 seconds without the risk of the sole becoming detached could be. One is further of the opinion that the created in the manner described Putty z. B. by the action of acetone on a cellulose acetate or cellulose nitrate fabric initially does not have a homogeneous texture, but rather from its surface varies according to the slide of the material, although probably the putty near the surface of the fabric has a higher amount of solvent has in itself and the cement further removed from the surface has a higher one Amount of cellulose ester. The putty that is created in the middle of the fabric and which has a higher viscosity due to its lower solvent content appears to have a tendency to retain the shape of the fabric, with a skeleton or a frame is formed, so to speak, to hold back the more liquid cement, so that it cannot flow out during printing. This will not only Soiling of the shoe upper leather is prevented, but it is also the putty, in particular the necessary amount of putty, held in the place where it is needed. .
In practice, a woven fabric with a width of approximately 3 mm is ideal loosely braided, relatively heavy strands proved to be very suitable. The amount of putty to be formed can be increased without increasing the width of the To enlarge the strip when using several or thicker strands. The strip of fabric remains in the acetone bath for about 5 to 10 seconds. Owns the fabric from where the putty is formed, a knob, so it will of course be a larger amount of the solvent can absorb, whereby the treatment in the solvent bath can be shortened. Furthermore, if desired, the cellulose ester fabric can through Strands of insoluble material, such as B. cotton, linen, etc., reinforced will. These strands, especially if they are near the edge of the strip of fabric act as a dam to prevent the putty from flowing out during to prevent pressure.
