Bekanntlich wird besonders Herrenkleidern vielfach eine gewisse Elasticität durch Einlegen eines Rofshaargefiechtes gegeben, welches als Rofshaarwattirleinen bezeichnet wird. Dieser Rofshaarstoff wird der Form des Kleidungsstückes entsprechend zugeschnitten und eingenäht. Beim Tragen zeigt sich nun der Uebelstand, dafs die an den Enden vorstehenden, ziemlich steifen Rofshaare sich durch den Kleiderstoff hindurchbohren und an der Aufsenseite zum Vorschein kommen. Dieser Uebelstand läfst sich dadurch beseitigen, dafs die Kante mit einem dünnen, mit Guttapercha oder einem ähnlichen Klebstoff belegten Streifen eingefafst wird. Dieser Streifen wird nach dem Umlegen mit einem sehr heifsen Bügeleisen überfahren, so dafs die Guttapercha weich wird und die Rofshaare mit einander und mit dem Gewebestreifen fest verklebt. Jedoch können die verklebten Rofshaarenden unter Umständen durch den Gewebestreifen und den Kleiderstoff hindurchdringen, wenn sie nicht völlig verklebt sind und der Gewebestreifen zu dünn ist. Dann wird der Streifen umgeschlagen und, wie angegeben, durch Anwendung von Wärme mittels eines heifsen Bügeleisens befestigt. Fig. 3 erläutert die gemäfs der Erfindung abgeänderte Ausfuhrungsform. Bei dieser ist der Gewebestreifen b mit einer angewebten Verstärkung d in der Mitte versehen, welche nur ungefähr eine Fadenstärke zu haben braucht. Zu beiden Seiten dieser Verstärkung wird der Guttaperchabelag c¹, c² angebracht. Nach dem Befestigen der Einfassung legen sich die Rofshaarenden gegen die Verstärkung d, welche mit Sicherheit ein Durchstechen verhindert. Fig. 4 endlich erläutert eine andere Ausführungsform, welche als Ersatz der Form nach Fig. 3 gebraucht werden kann. Die Verstärkung wird hierbei durch einen nach der Herstellung des Gewebestreifens b aufgelegten Faden d^l, eine Kordel oder dergl. gebildet.
