Bei dem Verfahren des Hauptpatents. werden die Strömungsvorgänge im Konverer insofern geregelt, als durch zweckentsprechende -,Änderung der durch die äußersten Windstrahlen gegebenen Fläche f des Konverterbodens stets eine möglichst gleich große, für -ein störungsfreies Blasen als bestgeeignet erkannte düsenfreie Randfläche zwischen Konverterinnenwand F und der Fläche f, also F-t, je t Einsatz angestrebt wird. Es ist nun häufiger erwünscht,. die Strömungsvorgänge im Konverter während des Verlaufs einer Konverterreise zu regeln, ohne bei neu zugestelltem' Futter durch eine Verkleinerung der Fläche f gleichzeitig auch den Blasquerschnitt zu verkleinern oder die Blasdichte (Blasquerschnitt je Flächeneinheit) zu vergrößern. Dies wird gemäß vorliegender Erfindung dadurch ermöglicht, daß man bei neu zugestelltem oder wenig verschlissenem Konverterfutter Böden verwendet, bei denen die Düsen des oder der äußersten Blaskränze geringeren Durchmesser haben als die übrigen Düsen, und daß man im weiteren Verlauf der Konverterreise diese engeren Düsen entsprechend dem Verschleiß der Ausma_ uerung erweitert.Process for achieving constant flow conditions in converters.
