Centrifugal dust separator The invention relates to a centrifugal separator
with tangential inlet and axial outlet, variable in cross section, which is called
A pipe that protrudes into the separator and is delimited at the bottom by a helical line
is.
It is known that a centrifugal separator can be connected to the
Inlet pipe to divide the adjoining insert space, from one with dust passage openings
provided spiral-cylindrical wall is laterally limited and open at the bottom.
It is also known on cylindrical baffles in centrifugal dust separators
To attach helically wound angle iron rings to the gas flow also axially
inevitably to drive.
The invention consists in that in a centrifugal dust separator
the wall of the application room consists of spirally curved angular rings, which between
free slots for the passage of dust and form a baffle, which
approaches the outlet pipe and then into a plate concentrically arranged therewith
transforms; furthermore, that the outlet pipe, limited below by a helical line, is rotatable
arranged and closed by a floor level with the lowest edge part
is.

in the separator and an approximate equalization of the flow velocity
different large flow rates. This results in an adjustable and improved
Dust separation. In the drawing, the device according to the invention is shown,

den Eintritt a
Spiralgehäuseboden i.
gute Entstaubung notwendige Geschwindigkeit wiederhergestellt.
The mode of operation of the device is as follows: The dust-containing gases enter the spiral casing at a, which is enclosed by the dust container b. The spiral housing is formed by angled spirals c arranged one above the other, which reveal slots over the entire circumference. The angled spirals start at q. at the dust air inlet and end at 5 at a casing part g lying in the continuation but concentrically around the exhaust pipe d. Due to the centrifugal force, the dust particles of the dusty air entering at a are thrown outwards and pass through the slots into the dust container b. The legs of the angled spirals are mounted so that one is at right angles to the dust container wall and the other forms an acute angle with this leg. This has the advantage that the dust particles that pass through are deflected downward by the latter leg and are then fed into the dust container (Fig. Z). The dusty air is sucked off by a blower through inlet a via the exhaust pipe d at e or is also pressed in by the blower at cc. At the lower end of the circumference of the exhaust pipe d is partially cut off along a helical line 2-3 (Fig. 5). The other part z, 2 of the circumference runs horizontally and sits with little play over the spiral housing bottom i. In its upper end, the tube d lies on rollers k and is set in rotation by means of a toothed ring and toothed wheel z through the chain and sprocket m. The cleaned gases are sucked off through the outlet openings formed by the exhaust pipe d and the floor i on the path 2-3. The outlet opening is greatest when point 3 of the flue pipe covers point 5, the beginning of the casing part g. It is smallest when point 3 covers point 6, 'the end of the sheathing part g. As the amount of gas decreases, the tube d is rotated in the direction of the arrow and part of the outlet opening is covered by the casing g. The suction of the gases takes place later, since the beginning of the outlet opening has shifted. The gases have a longer path available for dedusting, and the passage cross-section within the separation space h has been reduced up to the beginning of the outlet opening. If the amount of gas decreases, the speed necessary for good dedusting is restored. In order to offer less air resistance to the dust particles passing through the angled spirals, a small negative pressure is generated in the dust container b by the pipe n, which can be adjusted by a flap. However, the regulation of the negative pressure is not part of the invention.
