Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet eine Schaltvorrichtung, bei welcher, abweichend von der seitherigen Anordnung, der Stromschlufshebel und die Abschmelzvorrichtung vereinigt sind. Der Stromschlufshebel besteht aus zwei von einander isolirten Theilen b und d, von denen beim Herabbewegen des Handhebels f der erstere (b) mit dem an die Zuleitung angeschlossenen Stromschlufsstück a, letzterer (d) dagegen mit dem an die Ableitung angeschlossenen Stromschlufsstück e in Berührung kommt. Die leitende Verbindung zwischen den Theilen b und d des Stromschlufshebels bildet eine auf beide aufgeschraubte Abschmelzvorrichtung, welche den Abschmelzdraht c in einer zwischen Metallfassungen gehaltenen durchsichtigen Röhre aus Isolirmasse enthält. Bei gewöhnlicher Stromstärke nimmt der Strom seinen Verlauf von α durch b über den Schmelzdraht c nach d und von da über e weiter in die Leitung.
