Die gelängten Bandränder legen sich dabei zwangsläufig spiralig um die ungelängte Bandmitte herum, und es ist lediglich darauf zu achten, daß hiermit im gleichen Drehsinn begonnen werde. Im Beispielsfalle ist der Durchmesser der so entstandenen doppelgängigen Schraubenfläche gleich b; ihre Steighöhe wird von n bestimmt und ihre Drehachse fällt mit der Mittellinie des Bandes zusammen. Indessen lassen sich mach dem gleichen Verfahren mit geeigneten, gegebenen= falls veränderlichen Walzen- und Bandprofilen auch andere Schneckenformen herstellen, z.
