Bei Ventilen mit .kleinen Handrädern, wie sie z. B. bei Flaschenventilen . Verwendung
finden, bei denen der größte Durchmesser des Handrades durch die aufgeschraubte FIaschenkappe
begrenzt ist, macht es sehr oft •Schwierigkeiten, das Ventil bis zum vollständig
dichten Abschluß anzuziehen, da die ausübbare Umfangskraft bei dem kleinen zur Verfügung stehenden Hebelarm zu gering ist.
Dieselbe Schwierigkeit tritt naturgemäß beim öffnen sehr fest angezogener Ventile auf. In
der Praxis hilft man sich gewöhnlich, .indem man irgendeinen Schraubenschlüssel als
Hebel benutzt oder eine Rohrzange zu Hilfe nimmt. Diese behelfsmäßigen Mittet verderben
sehr rasch die Handräder, führen dazu, daß die Ventilspindeln übermäßig - bean-.
sprucht oder abgerissen werden und sind auch im Gebrauch sehr unhandlich. Man hat desap
halb Hilfshandräder in den Handel gebracht, die auf die vorhandenen kleinen Handräder

Zweckmäßig erhält die Sperrklinke mehrere Schneiden, so daß je nach Größe des Ventilhandrades
die eine oder andere Schneide zum Eingriff kommt. Bei symmetrischer Ausbildung der Sperrklinke ist das Hilfshandrad
