KLASSE 47:/Maschinenelemente.CLASS 47: / machine elements.
In order to avoid the need to readjust normal conical joints, which is necessary from time to time due to wear of the sealing surfaces and other circumstances, the conical surfaces working on one another and causing the seal are pressed firmly against each other by the pressure prevailing in the line in the shown conical joint, and all the more so stronger, the greater the pressure inside the pipe. In the line d , the joint halves α and b and the conical socket c are switched on. The joint half b is firmly screwed to the conical socket c, which is drilled through in its longitudinal axis. The cone housing is formed by the joint half α , which has an opening e in the axial direction of the cone on the side facing away from the joint half b , which opening is closed by a screw; /. The conical socket must be introduced through this opening before it can be screwed to the joint half b. In order to ensure the tight holding when the line pressure is very weak, the helical spring g is switched on between α and b , which presses the two sealing surfaces against one another.
