Zusatz zum Patent 541Addition to patent 541
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 5. Juni 1930 ab Das Hauptpatent hat angefangen am 4. August 192g.Patented in the German Empire on June 5, 1930. The main patent started on August 4, 192g.
Im Patent 541 256 ist ein Verfahren zum Alkalisieren der Ablaugen der Natron- oder Sulfatcellulosefabrikation zwecks trockener Destillation derselben beschrieben, ein Verfahren, das in der Hauptsache darin besteht, daß das Alkalisieren mit Oxyden oder Hydroxyden von Barium oder Strontium oder mit einer Mischung von beiden, gegebenenfalls in Verbindung mit einem neutralenIn patent 541 256 is a method for Alkalizing the waste liquors from the soda or sulphate cellulose production to make them drier Distillation of the same, a process which consists mainly in that alkalizing with oxides or hydroxides of barium or strontium or with a mixture of both, optionally in conjunction with a neutral
ίο Stoff, z. Es ist auch für die Aufarbeitung vonίο fabric, e.g. B. carbon powder is performed. at the alkalization can, according to the main patent, optionally also oxides or hydroxides of calcium, magnesium, Add aluminum, zinc or iron or mixtures thereof. After alkalizing has been carried out in this way, the mass becomes the appropriate degree of dryness evaporated and distilled dry. It is also used for reconditioning
However, this process cannot be applied to the waste liquors Use soda or sulphate cellulose production because it is impossible to use this waste liquor to obtain a dry powder by adding lime.
In contrast, the invention succeeds in carrying out the method after 'to simplify the main patent for practice considerably. According to this improved The embodiment is alkalizing by adding oxides of barium or strontium or mixtures both alone or together with oxides of calcium, magnesium, etc. in powdered form Form carried out to the highly concentrated, warm waste liquor. The waste liquor should too for this purpose up to between 50 and 60 0/0 Dry matter should be concentrated and should be as warm as possible when the oxides are added be. When the oxides are added, a violent reaction occurs under such a strong one Heat generation that most of the water evaporates and the waste liquor Waste liquor, when the reaction has been carried out, is transformed into a powdery mass, which in its consistency is reminiscent of ordinary arable tops and is immediately dry.
It is advisable to stir the mass during the reaction will. By performing the alkalizing in this way, one thus obtains 5 immediately a powdery mass without special evaporation, which without sintering or to melt, can be dry distilled in dry distillation furnaces for continuous operation, as in ίο main patent has been described.
Als Beispiel geeigneter Mischungsverhältnisse diene folgendes:The following are an example of suitable mixing ratios:
When alkalizing a waste liquor obtained when boiling esparto grass, a pulverized mixture of 400 g BaO, 400 g CaO and 15 g BaO 2 can be used for an amount of waste liquor which corresponds to ι kg of completely dry esparto grass. The black liquor, which contains about 660 g of dry substance, should be concentrated up to a total weight of about 1200 g. The above-mentioned addition of barium peroxide is expedient because the waste liquor often contains sulfur. The sulfur is converted into sulphate by the addition of barium peroxide. Even if the barium oxide used should contain sulfur in the form of sulphurbarium, such a large amount of barium superoxide will be added that this sulphurous barium is also converted into sulphate. In this way it can be achieved that no sulfur-containing impurities are present in the distillates obtained in the dry distillation. A completely sulfur-free distillate is obtained if a sufficient amount of barium superoxide is introduced into the waste liquor before or at the same time as the barium oxide. The barium sulfate is always reduced to sulfur barium when the barium carbonate of the dry distillation residue is regenerated as barium oxide by heating. Thus, the amount of sulfur does not increase with repeated use of the same of barium, are S or ioO / 0 of the regenerated by heating Bariumoxydes eliminated and leached with water, barium hydroxide and Bariumsulfhydrat be formed. The former is again used for manufacture, while the barium sulfhydrate is excreted and treated with carbon dioxide for the purpose of recovering carbonate.
If silica is present, this can also be simultaneously with the sulfur removed by boiling dry it from the precipitated 5 to 10 0/0 barium barium hydroxide to yield as a residue N calcium hydroxide and calcium silicate. It is therefore assumed that the alkalization is carried out with a mixture of barium and calcium oxide, which has been found to be particularly useful in practice.
When wood or straw cellulose waste liquors are treated according to the present process are to be, this takes place in a similar way. You only have to go towards it make sure that the waste liquor has such a concentration that when the reaction occurs with the added Oxides have taken place, a brownish powder is obtained. Too high a concentration of the waste liquor, e.g. B. accordingly Weighing 340 g of water on 660 g of dry matter, however, is not advisable because the yield of valuable chemical products in dry distillation then is reduced. Furthermore, the addition of barium peroxide is chosen here as well, that no sulfur-containing substances occur in the distillate.
Als Beispiel hierzu sei folgendes erwähnt:A waste liquor, which by completely boiling vegetable matter with Sodium hydroxide solution has been obtained, can also be alkalized by this process in such a way that that a powder is obtained which when heated in a continuously working Dry distillation furnace does not sinter. The following should be mentioned as an example:
Da die beim Alkalisieren erhaltene pulverige Masseι kg Nadelhok is made with 600 g of sodium hydroxide and 1000 g of water (including the amount of water present in the wood) a temperature of i8o ° with direct Steam boiled over. The waste liquor obtained in this way is then up to a weight of 3000 g evaporated or diluted, if the same is not obtained with this weight whereupon the waste liquor in a warm state with a powdered mixture of 350g BaO and 350g CaO is mixed. If the reaction that occurs here is finished, the mixture is obtained in the form of a brown powder, which for dry distillation e.g. B. is finished in an externally heated, rotating oven. The embodiment of alkalizing described above not only has the advantage that this compared to the mode of operation described in the main patent heat and Labor is saved, but also the advantage that the same has a greater yield valuable chemical products in dry distillation. When running of alkalizing according to the present process, one can also use that for alkalizing mix the oxides used with a suitable amount of residue from a previous dry distillation, in order to achieve that the dry distillation proceeds more slowly. Since the powdery mass obtained on alkalizing
bisweilen so viel Feuchtigkeit enthalten kann, daß sie geneigt ist, zusammenzubacken, wenn sie in stilliegenden Schichten erhitzt wird, so ist es zweckmäßig, die trockene Destillation in einem rotierenden Ofen auszuführen.at times it may contain so much moisture that it is apt to stick together when If it is heated in stagnant layers, it is advisable to use dry distillation to be carried out in a rotating furnace.
