Clapper with a lateral thread guide rail and a thread tensioning lever The invention relates to a further design of the bobbin for braiding and bobbin lace machines protected by patent 530 749 with a thread tensioning lever mounted below the bobbin and loaded by a compression spring arranged in the hollow bobbin mandrel, which simultaneously holds and Releasing the coil as well as serving as a dropout. While in the embodiment of the clapper specified in the main patent, the tensioning lever acts directly with its free end on the parts of the misfire device arranged on the side of the clapper track, the tensioning lever according to the present additional invention for acting on these parts with two by one known per se, after both Pages protruding pin formed lateral stops provided. This makes it possible to use the clapper in all existing braiding and bobbin lace machines, and in particular also in those machines in which the bobbin does not continuously rotate in the same direction, but reverses at the ends of the bobbin web or at other suitable points. In order to enable the arrangement of the lateral stops on the tensioning lever, the lateral thread guide rail must be designed and arranged in a manner that differs from the embodiment according to the main patent. While the thread guide rail according to the main patent sits just above the gear plate on the upper foot disk of the clapper and only contains a slot for the tensioning lever to pass through, it is attached to the clapper foot approximately at the height of the axis of rotation of the thread tensioning lever and is fork-shaped in its lower part. Through this design and arrangement of the thread guide rail, the free space required for the play of the tensioning lever provided with lateral stops is achieved without enlarging the base area of the clapper. The thread guide rail can be produced in a simple and inexpensive manner from a correspondingly cut sheet metal strip, as has already been proposed for other types of clapper.

an
Grenzen frei bewegen kann (s. die strichpunktierten Stellungen in Fig. i).a is the clapper foot, which has a tubular extension b at the top, in which the hollow spool mandrel c, the so-called clapper tube, is attached. Similar to the main patent, the mandrel can be used to directly attach a spool with locking teeth provided on the underside of the lower flange. However, as shown, a special slip-on sleeve v with a resilient wall for a flangeless spool can also be rotatably mounted thereon, the flange s carrying the locking teeth being located on the slip-on sleeve v. The tube attachment b of the clapper foot carries near its upper end a collar b1 to which the lateral thread guide rail d is attached. The rail d, consisting of a correspondingly punched out sheet metal strip curved in the transverse direction, is forked in its lower part dl and attached to the collar b1 with the inwardly bent ends of its fork legs, and most simply riveted. The flat thread tensioning lever g is guided in the slot of the tube attachment b and is rotatable about an axis f held in the collar b1 on the side opposite the thread guide rail d. The thread tensioning lever is provided at its free end with a thread eye o through which the loop x1 formed by the braiding thread x on the outside of the thread guide rail d runs. On the other hand, the lever g is under the action of a compression spring i exchangeably arranged in the hollow reel mandrel c, which is supported at the top against an abutment k releasably held in the mandrel, while its lower end presses on a cam g1 of the lever by means of a pressure pin h. The thread tensioning lever g has a short lever arm g2 with which it usually engages in the locking teeth on the bobbin flange or on the flange s of the slip-on sleeve y in order to secure the bobbin against unwanted rotation. The lever g is also provided with two lateral stops t which are formed by a pin which is fixed in a hole in the lever and protrudes on both sides. These stops serve to act on the parts of the so-called dropout device (not shown) arranged on the side of the bobbin case when the thread breaks or the bobbin is emptied, thereby automatically stopping the machine. As a result of the special design and arrangement of the thread guide rail d, d ', this does not get in the way of the lateral stops t of the thread tensioning lever g, so that the lever can move freely within the limits necessary for releasing the bobbin and operating the misfire device (see Fig. the dot-dash positions in Fig. i).
The braiding thread x runs from the bobbin in through the thread eye n on the rail d to the movable thread eye o, from there to the thread eye n 'provided at the upper end of the thread guide rail. and finally to a thread eye u through which he leaves the clapper. The thread eye u is located on the abutment k for the thread tensioning spring i. It is designed as an open spiral wire eye so that the thread can be easily guided in it. Likewise, the eye n1 located at the upper end of the rail d is open for the purpose of easy insertion of the thread (see FIG. 2), so that threading the thread takes little time despite the increase in the number of thread eyes.
