Auf beiliegender Zeichnung ist in Fig. 1 ein Rohr R gezeichnet, durch welches die Heizgase in ganz vorzüglicher Weise ausgenutzt werden, und zwar sowohl wenn dasselbe als Siederohr, als auch wenn es als Heizrohr benutzt wird. Das Rohr ist nämlich mit schraubenförmigen Aus- bezw. Einbiegungen versehen. Durch dieselben wird verhindert, dais die bereits abgekühlten Gase wirkungslos über das Rohr hinslreichen. Diese werden durch die Unebenheiten des Rohres gemischt, so dafs sie sich mit den noch nicht zur Wirkung gelangten heifsen Gasen verbinden. Auch werden die Heizgase durch die 6chraubenwindungen theilweise gezwungen, eine circulirende Bewegung zu machen. Dasselbe ist aber auch mit dem Wasser der Fall. Durch die Ausbiegung des Rohres wird zugleich dessen Heizfläche ganz bedeutend vergröfsert. Auch wird dessen Widerslandsfähigkeit sehr erhöht. Das Rohr kann mit einem oder mit mehreren Gängen versehen werden.
