Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Apparat zum Absengen der Haare des
Hornviehs, um dadurch das Ungeziefer zu entfernen und die Ausdünstung der Thiere zu
erhöhen; Fig. 1 zeigt den Brennapparat in Ansicht, Fig. 2 im Längsschnitt. Derselbe besteht
aus zwei Theilen, dem Obertheil A und dem Untertheil B; ersterer dient als Brenner
und enthält den Docht, während letzterer zur Aufnahme des Brennstoffes (Petroleum oder
dergleichen) bestimmt ist und zur Handhabung des Apparates dient.The subject of the present invention is an apparatus for searing the hair of horned cattle in order to thereby remove the vermin and to increase the evaporation of the animals; Fig. 1 shows the combustion apparatus in view, Fig. 2 in longitudinal section. Der Obertheil A besteht hauptsächlich aus dem flachen und breiten Brenner a, welcher
an der einen Seite der oberen Mündung die rückwärts gebogenen Zähne b enthält und an
der anderen Seite eine Kammer c zur Aufnahme eines oder mehrerer an der Welle d
befestigter Stellrädchen e für den Docht besitzt. Die Welle d wird durch die Hülse dl
geführt und besitzt am äufseren Ende das mit Riffelung versehene Rädchen f. Nach unten
zu verjüngt sich der Brenner in der Ansicht (Fig. 1), verbreitert sich dagegen im Querschnitt
(Fig. 2) zu dem Behälter α', welcher in den
runden Stutzen a2 endigt; in diesen ist das Gewindestück g .eingelöthet. Letzteres wird in
das Mutterstück h, welches im Boden mit der Oeffnung i versehen ist, eingeschraubt. Das
Mutterstück h ist in den Behälter B eingelöthet, welcher sich in Form eines Handgriffes nach
unten konisch erweitert und durch die Kappe k verschlossen ist. Zwischen Gewindestück g

Petroleum füllt und dem Docht die nöthige Nahrung zuführt, andererseits aber verhindert,
dafs das Petroleum beim Umstürzen des Apparates unmittelbar durch den Docht zur
Flamme dringt und zu einer Explosion Veranlassung geben könnte; die striegelartig angeordneten
Zähne b sorgen dafür, dafs man den Apparat beim Gebrauch nicht unmittelbar,
sondern nur in gewisser Entfernung von der Haut der Thiere hält. Gleichzeitig reinigt man
