Description
Es sind bereits geschlossene elektrische Bogenlampen mit einer Gasfüllung und Metallelektroden bekannt, wobei letzteren gleichfalls innerhalb der geschlossenen Lampenglocke angeordnete Vorschaltwiderstände zugeordnet sind, die derart bemessen sind, daß sie beim normalen Betrieb der Lampe als Leuchtkörper wirken. Die Anordnung der als Leuchtkörper dienenden Vorschaltwiderstände innerhalb der Glocke der Bogenlampe gibt jedoch häufig zu unerwünschten Entladungen Veranlassung und damit zu einer Betriebsstörung bzw. einem Unbrauchbarwerden der Bogenlampe selbst. Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Bogenlampe dieser Art und vermeidet den erwähnten Nachteil dadurch, daß der als Leuchtkörper dienende Vorschaltwiderstand der Lampe nicht in der die Elektroden enthaltenden Lampenglocke, sondern in einer diese umschließenden zweiten Lampenglocke untergebracht ist, so daß keine Entladung zwischen diesem Leuchtkörper und den eingeschlossenen Teilen der Bogenlampe selbst eintreten kann. Da beide Lampenglocken, wie an sich bekannt, an einem gemeinsamen Sockel befestigt werden können, so stellt die Lampe trotz der getrennten Unterbringung der Elektroden und des Vorschaltwiderstandes dennoch ein einheitliches Gerät dar, welches bequem in Benutzung genommen werden kann.They are already closed electric arc lamps with a gas filling and metal electrodes known, the latter also being assigned ballast resistors arranged within the closed lamp bell which are dimensioned such that they act as a luminous element during normal operation of the lamp.
