Description

According to the main patent, the gas generated in ordinary low-pressure acetylene generators is brought to an increased pressure suitable for operating high-pressure gas fusion torches by compressing it by means of a gas jet blower, whose propellant is acetylene with a correspondingly high voltage, which is stored according to the dissolving gas process.
The subject of the present invention is a modification of this process, which consists in using another combustible gas instead of the acetylene gas taken from dissous gas bottles, which gas can be stored in pressure vessels without using the dissous gas process. Such gases, such as. B. hydrogen, methane, blue gas, are indeed not completely equivalent to pure acetylene gas for the type of high-pressure gas melting welding in question, however, with the moderate degree of dilution, which the acetylene gas by the use of such gases as propellants in one of its Veras The jet blower used to seal the seal results from its mixing with the compressed acetylene gas, must be kept within harmless limits. This is all the more easily possible since such propellant gases are available with a higher pressure than dissous acetylene gas and can be used without danger with such propellant gases in the gas jet blower with a correspondingly larger volume delivery rate.

By using such flammable, more or less highly stressed gases is it is possible to use welding gases which are approximately equivalent to acetylene gas from one for the High pressure gas welding suitable pressure with simple means with further reduction the sources of explosion hazard. To be used according to the invention In many cases, gases are also easier and cheaper to obtain than dissous gas and with simpler means and less risk of the required operating pressure condense.
