In einem runden gufseisernen Gehäuse, gebildet aus dem Fufstheile a, dem Ring b zur Aufnahme zweier verstellbaren Dichtungskörper b, und b2 und zwei Rohrstutzen b3 und b4 zum Ansaugen und Fortleiten einer tropfbaren oder luftförmigen Flüssigkeit, und dem Deckel c rotirt, auf einer Welle d sitzend und durch Riemscheibe e angetrieben, ein Kegel /. An diesem Kegel / sind eine Anzahl Flügel (im vorliegenden Fall acht, ^1 bis ^8) angebracht, welche in entsprechende Schlitze im cylindrischen, ebenfalls als Kegel abschliefsenden Körper h abwechselnd sich eindrängen und aus denselben wieder hervortreten. Der Körper h dreht sich unter Mitnahme der Flügel gt bis gs auf einer feststehenden Axe i. Die auf der Axe i unterhalb der Nabe am Fufstheile α befindliche Hohlschraube k dient zum Heben und Senken des Körpers h, um ihn in steter Dichtung an / andrücken zu können. Die beiden oben erwähnten Dichtungskörper ^1 und b2 mit ihren sich in dem Ring b führenden Zapfen, auf welchen die zwei Hohlschrauben / und /, zum Verstellen nach innen und die zwei Muttern m und mx zum Verstellen nach aufsen sitzen, dienen zum Abdichten der Flügel und des Körpers h. Deckel c und Ring b werden durch Schrauben mit dem Fufstheile α verbunden.
