Verfahren zur Herstellung von Filmen, Lacken u. dgl. Aus dem Patent
t04024 ist es bekannt, Kunststoffe, Filme. Lacke u. dgl. dadurch zu gewinnen, daß
man dem durch Kondensation von Harnstoff bzw. Harnstoffderivaten mit Formaldehyd
gewonnenen Kondensationsprodukt, zweckmäßig in einem organischen Lösungsmittel,
einen oder mehrere nicht oder schwer flüchtige, insbesondere organische Stoffe,
die imstande sind, mit dem Kondensationsprodukt feste Lösungen zu bilden, wie z.
B. Acetyl- oder Nitrocellulosen, hinzufügt.Process for the production of films, lacquers and the like From the patent

Lösungen von Harnstofformaldehydkondensationsprodukten zusammen mit mindestens der
gleichen oder einer größeren Menge von Celluloseestern oder -äthern, wie Nitro-
und Acetylcellulosen oder Alkylcellulosen, gegebenenfalls zusammen mit Weichmachungsmitteln
oder weiteren Zusätzen, versetzt. Die auf diese Weise hergestellten Produkte zeichnen
sich insbesondere dadurch aus, daß sie Lösungen geben, die, auf Unterlagen gebracht,
zu hochglänzenden, glatten, geschmeidigen, gut haftenden Cberzügen auftrocknen und
sich als Lacke für alle beliebigen Zwecke hervorragend eignen. Die Eigenschaften
dieser Lacke werden selbstverständlich auch von den sie enthaltenden Lösungsmitteln
beeinflußt. Die erhaltenen Überzüge und Filme sind hochelastisch, geschmeidig und
-wasserfest; ihre Wetterbeständigkeit und auch ihre sonstigen mechanischen Eigenschaften

Man kann den Lacken auch lösliche oder unlösliche organische oder anorganische Farbstoffe
zugeben, und es ist im allgemeinen zweckmäßig, bei Anwendung unlöslicher Farbstoffe
diese den Lacken in sehr feiner Verteilung einzuverleiben, so daß sie auch bei längerem
Stehen und großer Verdünnung sich nicht zu Boden setzen. Als geeignete Lösungsmittel
seien z. B. Methanol, Dichlorhydrin, Formamid, Glykoläther, Milchsäureester usw.

viskose Lösung, die beim Aufspritzen auf Unterlagen,:
wie Leder, Glas, Papier, Holz, Textilien usw., glatte, hochglänzende überzüge liefert:
Beispiel 2 Man löst io Teile einer 5oprozentigen Lösung des Kondensationsprodukts
aus Harnstoff und Formaldehyd in q.o Teilen einer 2oprozentigen Kollodiumlösung
und gibt 2o Teile Glykolmonoäthyläther, 24 Teile Cyclohexanol, 8 Teile Butanol und
8 Teile Propylalkohol zu. Der so hergestellte Lack liefert ebenfalls hochglänzende,
glatte, geschmeidige und festhaftende überzüge. Beispiel 3 Man löst 13o Teile einer
5oprozentigen Lösung eines Kondensationsprodukts von Harnstoff und Formaldehyd (z.
B. in Isobutyla.lkohol), 58 Teile Nitrocellulose, 6,5 Teile Dibutylphthalat, 68
Teile Standöl (aus Leinöl und Holzöl) und 135 Teile eines aus cyclischen Ketonen
hergestellten Harzes in 592,5 Teilen eines Gemisches von Glykolmonoäthyläther,
Cyclohexylacetat, Sprit und Toluol. Man erhält hochglänzende Überzüge von vorzüglichen
