The single-seat valve, which is not relieved, is particularly effective at high pressures and temperatures
insofar advantages over the relieved double seat valve, as it is easier to bring
is to close tightly and to maintain the tight seal even for longer periods of time.
Such valves are designed in such a way that in the closed position
the steam exerts pressure in the closing direction ίο. If the valve is to be opened,
so the pressure acting in the closing direction must be eliminated or at least reduced
otherwise the forces that counteract the opening movement will be too great.
One has z. B. proposed to provide the valve with a relief piston for this purpose
and the space above this piston with a space of lower pressure, e.g. B. the
Space behind the valve to connect via an auxiliary valve, which is normally
is closed and is only opened when the valve to be relieved is to be opened.
However, the use of an auxiliary valve makes the construction of the machine intricate and complicated
this makes them more expensive. According to the invention, a simpler and cheaper way is followed,
in that the idle valve of the machine, which the steam supply to
special idle nozzles controls, at the same time the valve for connecting the pressure chamber
forms with a point of low pressure above the valve.
für die Überlastungsventile oder Überströmventile. In the figure, an embodiment of the invention is shown. The single-seat poppet valves are denoted by α. Their valve spindles b, which are moved by the auxiliary machine c and the control shaft d , carry the relief pistons e, which are exposed on one side to the live steam entering at f , while their other side k in the relief space through the lines g with the space h is connected to the relief valve i . The valve i represents an idle valve to which a special idle nozzle group is assigned and, according to the invention, simultaneously forms the relief valve. By appropriately dimensioning the clearance on the circumference of the relief piston of the control valve, the amount of steam flowing through the relief valve can be dimensioned such that the amount of steam required for idling the machine can flow through it. Since the valve i can be built for small amounts of steam and high steam velocities, its diameter is so small that on the one hand the resistance to its opening movement resulting from the steam pressure is low and on the other hand favorable stroke ratios for idling are created. The device can also be made in such a way that the relief valve also takes steam directly from the main steam line in addition to steam from the relief spaces. It can also provide relief for other valves in the machine, e.g. B. for the overload valves or overflow valves.
If the nozzle control has an adverse effect on the steam consumption by the
open relief valve can be expected, it will only be during a first partial stroke of the
Valves to be relieved are raised and then closed again. That kind of valve movement
can z. B. easily carry out by cams.
