Das Spielzeug besteht aus einer Figur, die an einem senkrechten Stab hochgezogen und heruntergelassen wird, wobei die Arme und Beine derselben eine kletternde Bewegung machen.The toy consists of a figure that is pulled up on a vertical rod and is lowered, the arms and legs of the same making a climbing motion do.

Die Säule A hat einen Schlitz H, in welchem ein Stift c der Figur zur Führung desselben gleitet. An diesem Stift ist eine Schnur d befestigt, die über eine Rolle E geht, mit welcher man die Figur hochziehen und herunterlassen kann. Anstatt einer losen Schnur d kann auch am Ende derselben ein Gewicht D angebracht sein, das die Figur hochzieht. Ein lose an dem , Stab aufgehängtes Gewicht G wird dann von der Figur durch Anstofsen ausgelöst und beschwert dieselbe so, dafs sie selbstthätig herunterkommt. Damit nun die Arme und Beine der Figur beim Herauf- und Herabsteigen _: die Bewegung des Kletterns machen, ist neben dem Schlitz H eine Zahnstange t an dem Stab A angebracht, in welche ein Zahnrad S eingreift, das in der Figur auf der gekröpften Achse M gelagert ist. Die gekröpfte Achse M dreht sich in dem Schlitz N einer Verbindungsstange 0, Fig. 5, welche ihrerseits wieder mit den Achsen yy und y¹ y^l verbunden ist. Auf den Achsen yy sind die Arme und auf y¹y^l die Beine versetzt angebracht. Dreht sich nun das Rad S, so schiebt die gekröpfte Achse M die Verbindungsstange ο hin und her und giebt damit den Achsen yy und y¹y¹ geringe Drehungen und den Armen und Beinen die Bewegung des Kletterns.The column A has a slot H in which a pin c of the figure slides for guiding the same.
