Mit Hilfe dieses Schneckengetriebes kann der Ausleger 4. in die in Abb.2 ausgezogen dargestellte Lage gebracht werden. Von dem Wasser- oder dein Windrade aus führt in bekannter Weise eine in der Zeichnung nicht angegebene Welle abwärts, welche mit Hilfe von ebenfalls in der Zeichnung fortgelassenen Kegelrädern eine Kurbelwelle io dreht.
