Description
Method for applying a net cover to the scraper fitting material of carding rollers The suggestion has already been made for metallization the surface of the scratching tape on the scratching fabric before piercing the wire teeth Laying on a metal layer in the form of - metal foil or metal mesh. This But the idea could not be put into practice because the scratching tape was underneath very strong tension must be drawn on the carding rollers, thereby stretching and the unyielding: metal covering would tear during stretching.
The present invention seeks to eliminate this problem in that the application of the metal coating is carried out only on the scratching material which has been drawn onto the carding roller. For this purpose, a metal roller, polished to a high gloss, is first provided on the back by known methods with a pad made of pressed wool dust or wool felt or similar materials and firmly adhering to the film. Since wool felt and pressed Wollsfaub as well as the thin metal film from the sharp points of the Kratzenz 'teeth can be readily pierced, this film is placed on the bearing the scraping tooth fitting roller and by a hand brush, or in larger rollers of a hard brush roll by the teeth to bottom until it has reached the surface of the scratching material. For an intimate connection with the felt or the leather of the scratching tape, a spirit varnish is expediently used in the manner known per se for scratching fittings, which experience shows that it gives off a good binding agent between two woolen surfaces. However, this lacquer can only be painted onto the back of the film shortly before it is wrapped, because it evaporates quickly and otherwise would lose its adhesive properties.
At the beginning of the wrapping of the felt-covered film, a mathematical made an exactly straight horizontal cut through the film roll so that the in full roll width produced film on the rotating during the pulling Kreinpelwalze is running straight on both sides. If the process is almost finished, will cut the film roll in exactly the same way, so that the beginning and Pinch the end of the metal foil together.
This known metal coating is provided around the accumulating in the scraper rollers of all carding systems and when every spinning material is used Dust or plaster do not adhere to the surface for quick removal give. Especially with greasy waste forms on the previous unprotected The felt surface of the scratching tape is heavily matted, made up of dirt and dust fibers Existing plaster that is very difficult to remove with the usual hand scraper will can. Most of the time, part of the scratching felt is lost, so that after a relatively short time the scratchy skin no longer exists at all is present and the irrigation becomes unusable.
By the method according to the invention it is possible to coat the metal to be applied to the scraper fitting in the closed, i.e. not torn, state.
