Device for automatically switching the mainspring mechanism on and off
The invention relates to a device for pocket and wrist watches, which
is intended to automatically prevent the mainspring from overwinding. There are
Facilities known in which the automatic switching on and off of the mainspring mechanism
caused by the movement of the spring spring occurring during relaxation and tensioning
will.
According to the invention, on one of the outermost turns of the
Mainspring supporting sensor by means of a resilient connection piece
connected to the switching lever dominating the coupling piece in such a way that the connecting piece
enables the clock hands to be set in any position of the spring.
An exemplary embodiment is shown schematically in the accompanying drawing
shown, namely Fig. i shows part of the drive mechanism of the clock.
Abb. 2, 3 und 4. zeigen Einzelheiten in grö-13erem Maßstab.Fig. 2, 3 and 4. show details on a larger scale.
i kommt. In dieser Lage des
Kupplungsstückes i ist das Aufzugswerk also ausgeschaltet.
stillgesetzt. The well-known design of the clock itself shows the well-known
toothed coupling piece i, which can be coupled optionally. The engine
the clock also has a spring box that always rotates in the same direction
on. as is usual with all pocket and wrist watches. In the watch case
behind the mainspring .5 a guide slot 3 is milled, in which a light
Slide: 2 is slidably arranged. The slide 2 has a bent at right angles
Foot 2 'and has a hook <. The slider foot 2 is slightly thinner than the thickness
the fields 5, so that even when the spring 5 is completely relaxed, if its turns
lie against the outer wall of the spring box, in no way, neither when the
still with the mainspring tensioned, 9 a clamping of the slider foot 2 take place
can, because also the outer turns of the spring 5 in the longitudinal direction of the size
of the slider foot 2 are correspondingly slightly narrowed. The foot 2 comes through
to lie on the next following, normal-width turn of the spring 5. For this reason
the winding of the mainspring 5 is switched off before the outermost, narrowed
Coils of the spring are also stretched to the maximum. In your hook C of the slider
2 is loosely one end of a resilient wire; the other end with the
Pointer setting arc 8 is firmly connected. The sheet 8 engages in a known per se
Point into the groove of the coupling piece i, so that the movements of the slide
2 are transferred to this coupling piece i. A spring .4, also in
the groove of the coupling piece i engages in a manner known per se, has the endeavor.
to push the coupling piece i always in its middle position, with neither
the teeth of the winding wheel 9, nor the teeth of the pointer setting wheel in engagement
with the teeth of the coupling piece
i come. In this position of the
Coupling piece i, the winding mechanism is therefore switched off. When the mainspring
5 relaxed again by the movement of the clockwork, so the slide 2 is after
and adjusted to the outside and then brings the coupling piece by means of the wire 7
i in engagement with the winding wheel 9. By rotating the winding shaft i i, the
Mainspring 5 are tensioned again in a known manner. When pulling up the mainspring
5 the slide 2 moves gradually towards the inside, d. H. the slide a follows the
Spring coil on which he rests (Fig. I), by means of the downward pressure
the spring q. as well as by the pressure. when turning the winding shaft i i on the
Tooth surfaces of the teeth on the coupling piece i and that are milled at an angle to the axis
is transmitted to the counter toothing on the winding wheel 9. This becomes the coupling piece
i by the slide; 2 pulled out of the teeth of the wheel 9; the latter is thus
shut down.
In any position of the spring 5, the setting of the clock hands can be accomplished
will. The coupling piece becomes through the axial displacement of the winding shaft i i
i associated with the pointer setting dial io. Not only that
Spring .I, but also the wire rod; slightly bent. The wire ; but returns
immediately back to the starting position when the shaft i i is released, whereby
the return with the help of the spring 4. takes place.
