Die auf beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellte Maschine dient zum Anfertigen von Stiften aus
Draht für Glaser und wird in folgender Weise benutzt. Vermittelst der Backen α und b und der
Schraubet kann die Maschine an einer Werkbank, einem Tisch oder dergleichen befestigt werden.
Der Draht, aus welchem man die Stifte herstellen will, wird zunächst durch das in dem Stege d
befindliche Loch e gesteckt, welches den Draht in die in der Messerscheibe/ befindliche Rinne g
führt. Dreht man nun vermittelst der Kurbel h die Scheibe f, so wird der Draht gegen die
leicht aufgerauhte Rolle i gedrückt, und die in der Messerscheibe/befindlichen Messer k stellen
vermöge ihrer Form derartige Einschnitte in dem Draht her, dafs derselbe nicht ganz durchgeschnitten
wird, sich jedoch an den Einschnitten, welche gleich weit von einander entfernt sind,
leicht umbiegen und dann abbrechen läfst. Die Rolle i kann je nach der Dicke des Drahtes,
oder je nachdem man die Tiefe der Einschnitte wünscht, vermittelst der Schraube Z hoch und
tief gestellt werden. Die Stellvorrichtung besteht aus einem über das Gestell m greifenden
Kloben n, in welchem die Achse' der Rolle i gelagert ist, während in dem Gestell m ein
Langloch, in welchem sich vorgenannte Achse auf und nieder bewegt, angebracht ist. In
dem Kloben η bewegt' sich die Schraube I, für welche sich das Muttergewinde in der
oberen Traverse ρ des Gestelles m befindet. Dreht man nun die Schraube /, so bringt man
den Kloben η und mit diesem die Rolle i der Messerscheibe f mehr oder weniger nahe.The machine shown in the accompanying drawing is used to make pins from wire for glaziers and is used in the following way. Herstellung der Drahtstifte für Glaser, bei welcher der zu verarbeitende Draht durch das

Messerscheibe / mittelst der Kurbel h dadurch mit beliebig tiefen Einkerbungen durch die
Messer k versehen wird, dafs die verstellbare Rolle t-mehr oder weniger nahe an die Messerscheibe
