Description

Seil oder Band aus Gummi oder gummiartigem Stoff Die Erfindung betrifft die weitere Ausbildung eines Seiles oder Bandes aus Gummi oder gummiartigem Stoff, insbesondere zur Verwendung als Halte- und Fördermittel für Maschinen zum Entfleischen faserhaltiger Blattpflanzen, gemäß Patent 5i2 5oi, das sich durch in die Hülle aus Gummi oder gummiartigen Stoffen eingelegte Metallbänder, z. B. solche aus Stahl, kennzeichnet. Ein solches Seil oder Band kann große Zugbeanspruchungen aufnehmen und ist sehr biegsam, da das in die Gummihülle eingelegte Metallband eine verhältnismäßig große Breite, aber nur eine geringe Dicke hat. Um nun die verhältnismäßig weiche Gummihülle zur Übertragung großer Querkräfte, die auch durch direkte Druckbelastung auftreten können, auszubilden, wird gemäß der Erfindung die Gummihülle in der Weise verstärkt, daß auf einer oder beiden Seiten des Metallbandes Draht- oder Gewebeeinlagen vorgesehen werden, die dem Seilquerschnitt einen größerenWiderstandgegenüber quer zum Seil wirkenden Kräften verleihen. Als Einlagen kommen insbesondere Drahtschrauben bzw. -federn in Betracht, die beliebigen Querschnitt haben und spiralig gewickelt sein können. Bei Anordnung von Drahtschrauben verläuft deren Mittelachse im allgemeinen parallel zur Längsrichtung des Seiles oder Bandes, wobei Metallband und Drahtschraube entweder unmittelbar aufeinanderliegen oder einen größeren oder kleineren Abstand zwischen sich lassen. Werden Gewebeeinlagen verwendet, so ist es vorteilhaft, solche Einlagen zu gebrauchen, bei denen keine direkt in der Seillängsrichtung verlaufenden Fäden vorkommen. Die Drahtschrauben bzw. Gewebeeinlagen können noch mit einer Draht- oder Band%iicklung umgeben werden.
