Agents for combating plant and animal pests, in particular
of seed diseases The use of simple metal salts, such as copper sulphate, mercury chloride
and the like, for purposes of plant therapy, in particular to kill the seeds
adherent fungal spores has long been known. The killing or the developmental inhibitor
The effect of these agents on most spores is beyond doubt. Meanwhile suffers

reduce the harmful effect of the agents while maintaining their fungicidal power,
for example by using organic mercury compounds where
the mercury is attached to a core carbon of cyclic compounds,
or ammonia complex salts of copper are used instead of simple copper salts.
However, certain difficulties arose in both cases. the
Nuclear mercured organic compounds are usually insufficiently soluble
and must be brought into solution by means of strong alkalis, cyanides or the like; the
The stability of such compounds and their solutions therefore leaves something to be desired.
The use of the copper ammonia compounds also brings certain inconveniences
with itself, in these compounds the ammonia has a considerable dissociation tension.
In order to keep them stable, you bring them in the form of aqueous solutions
the trade. This increases the weight, volume and packaging in a disruptive manner.
It has now been found that these evils can be remedied in a simple manner
can be avoided if, instead of complex ammonia metal salts, such metal compounds are used
used, in which the ammonia substituted by non-volatile or slightly volatile ones
Derivatives of ammonia is replaced, for example, by primary, secondary or
tertiary amines, aliphatic or cyclically substituted derivatives of ammonia,
Amino acids, amino ketones or other amino derivatives as well as di-tri and polyamino compounds.
Diese Aminoverbindungen bilden mit metallorganischen Verbindungen,
These amino compounds form with organometallic compounds,
z. B. nuclear mercured phenols and the like, often extremely stable complex compounds,
which are not only water-soluble, but also durable in a solid state.

Ausführungsbeispiele i. i Mol.
The use of substituted derivatives of ammonia has already been proposed for the production of seed dressings, but exclusively for the purpose of complexing with metal salts derived from inorganic or organic acids, i.e. compounds which contain the metal in an ionizable form. It has been found, however, that complex compounds of this type are hardly smokable for the purposes of seed dressing, because their fungicidal effect - smaller, their seed damaging effect - is greater than that of the complex salts of the core metallized compounds, which form the subject of the present patent specification. - Embodiments i. One mole of mercury oxide is dissolved in excess sulfuric acid, then warmed with cresol on a water bath for some time until no more yellow precipitate is formed with sodium hydroxide solution. It is then supersaturated with sodium hydroxide solution, impurities are filtered off and the clear solution is precipitated with carbonic acid. The filtered off cresol mercury is washed thoroughly and dissolved in the required amount of piperidine. 2. Rhodankali and pyridine are carefully added to the solution of a copper salt as long as a precipitate is still formed. The resulting green precipitate is filtered off and dissolved in the required amount of ethylenediamine.
