In

Mode of action is as follows.

Cylinder side z = or an opposite cylinder through

Overflow channel b is closed. If, when the piston k moves to the right in the sense of Fig. I (slide return stroke), the guide rod of the slide reaches the stage -cl of one control cam and thus in the control position 1I of Fig. 2, then both cylinder sides are connected through channel b connected so that a pressure equalization takes place. The piston k moves even further to the right in the sense of the drawing because the piston area on the cylinder side z1 is larger than on the other cylinder side @@. As a result, the control linkage goes to step c- of the control cam and thus to position III in Fig. 3. In this control position, the cylinder side is closed and that z1 is connected to exhaust a, the compressed air flowing over it expands in the cylinder chamber w = against atmospheric pressure, and the piston k - moves: I in the sense of the drawing to the left (delivery stroke). The slide s can now: .o be set up so that in position III it leaves a fine fresh air inlet ha (Fig. 4.) to the channel e2 open, and for this purpose it can be equipped with a special auxiliary channel through which the some fresh air is additionally supplied to the expanding air which is passed over into the cylinder space z ″. In the event of a decrease, the control linkage temporarily returns to control stage cl and thus back to position II, in which both cylinder sides are connected to one another again; As a result, any overpressure on the cylinder side z 'is balanced out into space N1, and the harmful space on the cylinder side z1 is filled accordingly, with the result that fresh air consumption is correspondingly lower. When it continues to move to the left, the control slide s returns to the control position I, in which the cylinder side -l is again connected to your fresh air inlet and so on.
finden.Instead of a flat slide, a round slide can of course also be used
and any other control linkage can be used instead of the one shown
