Das rotirende Streichbrett A besteht entweder aus einer tellerförmigen gebogenen Scheibe oder aber aus einem Rade, dessen Felgenkranz durch ein rundes Messer gebildet wird, wie dies die Fig. 3 und 4 zeigen. Ohne dieses würde das Streichbrett, besonders, wenn es ein wenig schwer ist, die Furche nicht bis in den Grund säubern.
