Hierdurch wird erreicht, daß die Speisewasserleitung von den heißesten Teilen der in den Wärmeübertragungsrohren befindlichen Flüssigkeitsdämpfen umgeben ist, so daß der größte Teil der in den Dämpfen enthaltenen Verdampfungswärme an das Speisewasser abgegeben wird, während die Luft, welche infolge ihrer geringeren spezifischen Wärme nur einen kleineren Teil der Verdampfungswärme zu ihrer Erhitzung benötigt, die oberen Teile der Wärmeübertragungsrohre nur von außen umstreicht.
