Das so geschaffene Keratin wird dann in die erforderliche Form gebracht, um in die Rille der Sprechplatte zu passen. Alsdann wird das Keratin durch Eintauchen oder Besprengen oder sonstwie mit einem Überzug von Harz und Cellulose versehen, welche Mischung durch geeignete Lösungsmittel erhalten wird, um einen vollkommen luftdichten Überzug zu erzielen.
