Abstract

A spunbonded textile fibre of theoretically infinite length has a bi-component filament with an inner core and an outer sheath with a low melting point. The spun filament is strengthened by calander with a press surface of less than 22% and has a specific weight of less than 40 g/m. An independent claim is included for a process to produce the spunbonded fibre.
