Description
Process for the production of light-sensitive layers with diazo compounds, which result in a positive image from a positive For the production of positive diazotypes one makes use of photosensitive layers that are a durable diazo compound and contain an azo component. Furthermore, positive diazotypes have already been identified Attempts to produce diazo compounds alone by, after a sufficiently long exposure exposed under an original for a short time without an original (see patent specification 38155i), but this method is unsafe due to the double exposure.
It has now been found that you can easily and smoothly positive diazo images can be obtained if one uses diazo compounds which are in neutral or acidic solution are stable, but alkaline directly with themselves (without Exposure to light). Diazo compounds are particularly suitable as such compounds into consideration, which contain one or more Oxv- or amino groups, which are in another nucleus such as the diazo group. Such are z. B. Aminooxynaphthalenes in the manner of 1-amino-8-oxynaphthalene-3 # 6-disulfonic acid (H-acid), z-amino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid (J-acid) or aminooxynaphthalenes, which form a diazotized radical on the nitrogen wear. However, diazo anhydrides, that is to say diazo compounds consisting of o or p-aminophenols are formed, are used, provided they still have one or more oxy- or contain amino groups. The diazo compounds can also have further substituents wear, e.g. B. the methyl, methoxy, sulfo, dimethylamino, etc. Also can the oxy group must be acylated, but the acyl radical must be easily saponifiable by alkali be. The diazo compounds are applied to the substrate in an acidic or neutral manner.
The procedure can also be designed in all the ways which are common in the diazotype. So z. B. the layers of stabilizers or metal salts are added.
From patent specification 111 q-16 it is known to obtain a negative from a positive image from dianotized o-aminosalicylic acid, which is applied to a substrate in an alkaline manner, or vice versa. In contrast, according to the present method, a positive is obtained directly from a positive. Diazosalicylic acid is not a compound of the type claimed here, since it cannot couple directly with itself in an alkaline solution. The aim of the present process cannot therefore be achieved even if the diazosalicylic acid were applied to the substrate in an acidic manner. By exposure to light, the diazosalicylic acid is converted into a component capable of coupling, and the process of patent specification i 1 i 416 is therefore based on the fact that part of the diazosalicylic acid is converted into a component capable of coupling by the action of light, which is then immediately combined with the diazosalicylic acid still present in the presence of the alkali couples, which creates the image in the exposed areas. Examples i. 30 parts by weight of diazotized H-acid are dissolved in 100 parts by volume of water with the addition of 50 parts by weight of tartaric acid and, as usual, on paper, film, etc. upset.
After exposure under a positive and. evolving in gaseous Ammonia gives red iolette positive copies.
Such copies can of course also be developed in alkaline solutions will.
y. A solution of 6 g of tartaric acid and 4 g of the diazo compound prepared in the normal way from the i'-amino, V - piperidyl -3'-benzoyl -i atnino -ä- o-xynaphthalene-3-6-disulfonic acid is prepared i; o cc of water. The said amine is obtained in the following manner: i - 8-Amidonaphthol-3 - 6-naphthalene indi sul fosäure is condensed with i-: Nitro-4-chloro-3-benzoyl chloride; the xondensation product is reacted with piperidine and the nitro compound is reduced in the usual way.
The solution is placed on a suitable surface, e.g. B. paper or film, applied and the base dried. After exposure under an original and developing with gaseous amnionia, a blue-violet image is obtained.
