Abstract

A can includes a membrane seal (5), which has a continuous bead (3) in the can casing (1), the bead facing inwards in the vicinity of the can edge (8), preferably at a distance of between 1 and 10 mm from the edge. The bead is connected in a sealed manner to a sealing membrane (5), for example a foil membrane, in particular a tear-open foil.
