Abstract

Said device comprises a housing (1) wherein a catch (2) is mounted, whereby said catch interacts with a safety catch (3), and said safety catch (3) can be locked with a moveable armature (5). The safety catch (3) and the moveable armature (5) are spring-loaded in the direction of the mutual lock position and the moveable armature (5) is impinged upon by an electromagnet (9). The aim of the invention is to produce a safety device for a door, especially a fire-proof door or similar, which guarantees the functioning thereof even in the event of a fire. The safety catch (3) and the moveable armature (5) are also impinged upon by a element (10) which expands under the effect of heat (10) in the direction of the mutual lock position.
