Abstract

Novelty: foldable security wedge for doors and windows. Constitution: a plate made of metal or other material of analogous toughness (e.g. Kevlar) 2 comprising the holes 4 or the hole 5, or the extension 1 and the hole 6; connecting hinges 3 uniting the three sections of the wedge. The folding security wedge in question is planar with least height not hindering the movement of the door when the invented wedge is in inoperative condition; unlikely, when the wedge is in operative condition, the extension 1 securely engages the hole 5 in order to create a wedge which is able to completely block the door’s opening and synchronically secure the entry as required. Additionally, the hole 6 is able to receive a padlock or other locking means so that the wedge can be thoroughly secured in the operational position. Advantages: securing of partially-opened doors since the further opening thereof becomes extremely difficult; absolute securing of the entry; high operability.
