Self-priming carburetor The invention relates to a floatless carburetor
Carburetor. The invention shows a further development of that described in patent 482,225
Carburetor. The main patent shows a floatless self-priming carburetor with
a control valve to regulate the fuel, the air and the amount of mixture.
It is already known with carburetors to accumulate a supply of fuel,
to have enough fuel available in the event of a sudden transition to full load.
The subject matter of the invention shows a particularly advantageous arrangement: one such
Pantry. According to the invention, the storage space is provided in the control valve and
communicates through channels with a groove on the circumference of the control valve. the
The mentioned groove stands in turn through a further groove with one leading to the mixing chamber
Feed channel in connection with a wedge-shaped regulating groove known per se. To this
In this way, excess fuel can collect in the storage space and the grooves
and can be removed immediately in the event of a sudden transition to full load. The invention
shows a particularly large one when used on a carburetor according to the main patent
Increasing the elasticity of the engine, especially when the power is higher
The necessary fuel is immediately available in the engine. The figures show an exemplary embodiment
of the invention, namely Fig. i shows an external view of the carburetor, Fig. 2 shows a
Longitudinal section through the. Carburetor; Fig. 3 shows a section in the direction A-B
Fig. Q., Which is a view of the control valve.
dem Innern des Ringes 6.The air is sucked in through the supply line i. The fuel kicks in
through the inlet opening 2 into the carburetor housing 3. Inside the carburetor housing
the control valve 5 is located. This accommodates a radially supported channel ¢ a,
which extends to the middle and then into a vertical, centrally positioned channel q.
transforms. This channel q. meets an annular recess 7 of the atomizer ring
6. The fuel passage openings 8 follow from the annular recess 7
the inside of the ring 6.
Vom Hohlraum 14
The channel qa opens into a tapering groove 9 on the circumference of the control valve 5. The inlet opening 2 cooperates with the groove g when the control valve 5 is rotated. At the same time, from the end of the groove 9 or the channel qa, a vertical groove io on the circumference of the control valve goes upwards and opens into a groove ii, which is located on the circumference of the control valve and via channels 12 and 13 with a storage chamber i q. is in communication inside the control valve. A very thin bore 1 5 leads from the cavity 14 to the outside through a terminal screw 1 6. This bore is to be provided so that the fuel can be sucked in from the cavity 14 and the channels 11, 12 , 13 as soon as one suddenly changes from idling to full load . The fuel does not escape from this free bore because the fuel in the spaces 11, 12, 13, i [is] not under pressure, but only flows freely into these spaces. On the other hand, the small bore has no disadvantage at full load, although air is sucked in through it to a very small extent. This additionally sucked in air acts as brake air. Nevertheless, enough fuel can get through the groove 9 to the interior of the carburetor.
geöffnet, also bei Vollast.
The mode of operation is as follows: Fig. 2 shows the carburetor fully open, i.e. at full load. The fuel enters the interior of the ring 6 through the opening 2 via the channels 4a, 4, 7 through the openings 8 the opening 2 in cover, and it can therefore only flow less and less fuel. The channels io, 1 1, 12, 13 and the storage chamber 14 but are here full of fuel. If the control valve is suddenly opened for the purpose of full performance, then. not enough fuel is immediately drawn in through opening 2. This fuel can, but then follow from the channels 9, 10, 11, etc. and in particular from the storage chamber 14, and thus there is currently enough fuel available and full power is given. In this way, the large amount of air that is entering at that moment immediately receives sufficient fuel, so that the machine does not stop.
