Abstract
The pump for liquid and gaseous media comprises a suction valve arrangement which is located at the end of the pump piston ( and includes a head section (26) fixed to the piston rod (28) and a suction valve plate (24) freely movable axially between the section (28) and the pump piston (12). Pressed against the head section during the suction stroke, the suction valve plate frees flow path (which is shut during the compression stroke) from the inlet (16) via the piston (12) into the pressure chamber of the pump.
