Vacuum cleaner (1) has housing (5) divided into front dust collection space with hinged cover (8) and rear housing space with suction fan with electronic rev control, cable drum for electrical lead cable and electrical terminals for electric brush socket (21) incorporated in hinged cover. Electrical conductors between brush socket and brush socket terminals are fed to cover via pivot hinge (7).
