Die Zeichnung zeigt ein Zifferblatt mit vierundzwanzig Ziffern und Buchstaben; auf demselben befindet sich ein Zeiger, der durch eine Rolle bewegt wird; über diese Rolle läuft eine Kette oder eine Schnur, die den zweiten Zeiger mit Zifferblatt in Bewegung setzt. Sind die Rollen gleich grofs, so machen beide Zeiger dieselbe Bewegung und man kann eben so gut bestimmte Aufträge ertheilen, als auch telegraphiren, wie mit dem Morse-Apparat.The drawing shows a dial with twenty-four digits and letters; on the same there is a pointer that is moved by a roller; over this role runs a Chain or cord that sets the second hand with the dial in motion.
