Device to prevent the tripping of polarized switches
with countercurrent polarized switches are known in which a voltage winding
energized holding magnet holds the contacts in the short-circuit position. When occurring
an overcurrent of a certain direction is the armature of the holding magnet as a result of a
weakening caused by a suitably arranged release coil or coil
or deflection of the magnetic flux is released and leads to the opening of the switch contacts
come here. According to this principle, sin -1 7.B. the so-called quick switches with holding magnets
built. Such switches should usually only be used when an overcurrent occurs
turn off certain direction. "! _u for this purpose are the tension and the
Trigger winding switched so that the magnetic fluxes generated by them when
Occurrence of overcurrent in the specified direction (current in normal direction) in the armature
of the holding magnet are oppositely directed, while they occur when
Flows in the opposite direction (countercurrent) intensify in the armature, so
that the switch remains in the closed position when countercurrent occurs. It
it has now been found that such switches may also occur when
of a countercurrent fall out afterwards, after the countercurrent is otherwise
is switched off. The cause of this phenomenon can be seen in
that the vanishing countercurrent by virtue of its inductive effect on the
Voltage 5 winding weakens the current in this so that the holding power of the
Magnet is no longer sufficient to hold the armature in the closed position.
This drawback is avoided according to the invention in that when
When a countercurrent occurs, the current in the voltage winding is increased, and
to such an extent that even when the countercurrent disappears there is still sufficient
Holding force remains in the magnet. The holding current is amplified
according to the invention in such a way that a resistor connected upstream of the voltage winding
through the contacts. of a relay that responds only to countercurrent in whole or in part
is short-circuited.
In the figure, an embodiment of the invention is shown.
r is a polarized switch with the separately excited voltage coil 2 and the
Release wind 3. In series with the voltage coil: 2 is the series resistor d.
parallel to the contacts of the overcurrent relay 5, which only responds to countercurrent.
In the event of overcurrents in normal direction, the contacts of relay 5 remain open, and the
The current exciting the holding magnet has its normal, through the resistance
the
Voltage coil 2 and the value determined by Vorwi@lerstand.l. However, as soon as an overcurrent
occurs in the opposite direction, the relay 5 closes its contacts. Through this
the series resistor is short-circuited 4. and the current in the voltage winding
-a rises to a value determined by the resistance of the latter. The result
caused stronger excitation of the holding magnet causes the armature of the holding magnet
is also held when the countercurrent disappears. The relay 5 is expedient
arranged in such a way that it registers its contacts after the countercurrent has ceased
opens so that the excitation of the holding magnet returns to its normal value.
In many cases it is sufficient to use an ordinary relay instead of the countercurrent relay.
to use an overcurrent relay that responds to both current directions. With countercurrent
the described effect is achieved with this relay; with current in normal direction
on the other hand, because of the high electromagnetic time constant of the holding winding
the increase in the holding current is only noticeable at a point in time, "-o the switch
has already triggered.
