Stopfbüchsenlose Dichtung Die zum Ersatz der Stopfbuchse, insbesondere bei Kreiselpumpen und entsprechenden Maschinen, angewendete bekannte Viskodichtung besitzt den Nachteil, daß die als Sperrflüssigkeit, als Sperrmasse u. dgl. verwendeten Schmiermittel besonders bei höheren Temperaturen in das Innere des Pumpengehäuses und damit in die zu fördernde Flüssigkeit gelangen. Um diesen Nachteil zu beheben, sind Vorrichtungen verschiedener Art getroffen worden, die jedoch entweder sehr kompliziert arbeiten oder ihren Zweck unvollkommen erfüllen. Eine dieser bekannten Vorrichtungen, die Gegenstand des englischen Patents 245 821 ist, arbeitet in der Weise, daß das Schmiermittel unter Druck gesetzt wird und die Sperrflüssigkeit im Kreislauf durch einen besonderen, außerhalb der Welle gelegenen Kanal von einem Ende der Dichtung nach dem anderen umgefördert wird. Bei dieser Vorrichtung ist jedoch immer notwendig, die Sperrflüssigkeit unter Druck zu setzen. Die Umförderung des Sperrmittels geschieht hierbei nun im Gegensatz zu der bekannten Vorrichtung nicht unter Mitwirkung eines zusätzlichen Außendruckes, sondern im wesentlichen automatisch dadurch, daß auf der Welle ein Gewinde und hinter der Stelle höchsten Druckes, also hinter der Stelle, an der der Umförderungskanal beginnt, ein Gegengewinde angebracht ist, durch das das Sperrmittel verhindert wird, in. das Pumpen= innere einzutreten, und daher durch den Kanal wieder nach der am Anfang des Gewindes auf der Welle befindlichen Stelle niedrigsten Druckes abströmen muß. Es wird hierdurch also ein ununterbrochener Kreislauf der Sperrflüssigkeit erzielt, verbunden mit einer außerordentlich großen Ersparnis an Schmiermitteln und absoluter Reinhaltung der zu fördernden Flüssigkeit. An der Stelle des höchsten Druckes der neuen Viskodichtwng erfolgt durch rechtzeitige Abführung des Überschusses der Sperrflüssigkeit eine Verminderung der entstehenden hohen Temperaturen.
