Process for obtaining the oxidation products from paraffin hydrocarbons In the patent 405 850 a process for obtaining valuable products by oxidation of paraffin hydrocarbons is described in liquid form, which is characterized in that the hydrocarbons are mixed with shaped and dimensionally stable bodies in high layers and the effect of an oxidizing blown through Gas stream are subjected.
Man erhält
so z.
It has now been found that a particularly rapid and extensive
Oxidation of the paraffin can be achieved if the liquid is used during the treatment
according to the process of the main patent at the same time a cycle within the reaction chamber
can be carried out. One can work in various ways for this purpose.
For example, the process can be carried out by placing in the oxidation vessel,
whose lower part is suitably tapered, concentrically and coaxially
built in a narrow pipe that is open on both sides and protrudes above the filler layer
and ends at the bottom just above the entry point of the oxidizing gas. Will
now a stream of the oxidizing effect measured accordingly in its strength
If the gas is blown into the oxidation vessel from below, the main amount of it increases
Gas swirling up and foaming the liquid up between the packing,
while a small part of it passes up through the built-in narrow pipe,
it pulls up liquid with it and flings it out at the top. By one above that
The baffle plate attached to the upper end of the tube can remove the entrained liquid
can still be finely distributed and then trickles back onto the packing. You get
so z. B. from pure paraffin using air at 16o 'in 3 hours
light yellow oxidation product with a saponification number of 263 and 22% unsaponifiable material
of a waxy texture.
wesentlich einfacheren technischen Mitteln bewirkt.
It has been suggested before, liquid or liquefied products
subject to a pressure oxidation process, one inside the reaction space
arranged gas jet pump is used such that during the oxidation
liquid reaction material and a. Cycle some of the oxygen as well.
In contrast
is in the present process without pressure and under
Use of packing worked and also the circulation of the liquid with
causes much simpler technical means. Compared to the process of
Main patent, the present process offers the advantage that the Oky = 'dation
more complete and self-. 'Using air as an oxidizing agent in a considerable amount
can be carried out in a shorter time.
