Die Eintheilung d⁵ am Rücken der Scheibe B giebt die Stellungen an, in welche das Gewicht d⁴ gebracht werden mufs, um die jeweilig gewünschte Geschwindigkeit zu geben. Damit der Zeiger d leicht gedreht werden kann, wird er durch ein Gewicht d^e ausbalancirt; seine Welle geht durch die hohlen Wellen der beiden anderen Zeiger b. Wenn es gewünscht wird, kann auf die Schwungräder oder Scheiben a³ mittelst der Streifen a^e eine Bremswirkung durch Reibung ausgeübt werden. Diese Streifen umfassen die Räder a³ und lassen sich durch die Stellschrauben α ⁷ mehr oder weniger anspannen.
