Description
Process for the preparation of a high-temperature cooking and heating gas (luminous gas) The invention relates to a method for preparing a heated cooking and Heating gas (town gas), primarily from low-quality fuels (such as peat, Brown coal). It is a known fact that low-grade fuels are known to be Exclusive raw material for the preparation of luminous gas due to the known processes not suitable because they are used in the distillation that is common in the preparation of luminous gas in retorts or chambers a gas of too low calorific value and too high specific Deliver weight. But it would be just for Germany, given its wealth of lignite of great economic importance if the production a normal town gas would only be possible from lignite.
This now enables the present invention in such a way that the bituminous substance initially carbonized in any known manner and then the resulting gaseous or liquid carbonization products a repeated one or more consecutive stages Decomposition distillation are subjected.
It is known that a gas, the so-called carbonization gas, is formed during the so-called carbonization of bituminous substances, and it is also known per se to produce the so-called oil gas from gas oil by appropriate heat treatment. Nevertheless, the smoldering is not applied to the city gas preparation at the time because the carbonization, even if (q Ho =. Ooo to 4300 kcal / cbm) a corresponding city gas heating value in individual cases should have, because of its high specific gravity (about 0 , 72) cannot be used, while with the so-called oil gas, as is well known, both the calorific value and the specific weight are much too high.
The novelty of the method according to the invention is that the carbonization gas or oil gas obtained in a known manner is repeated Distillation, namely a decomposition distillation, is subjected by the a deposition of carbon from the hydrocarbons of the gas is effected. This causes the hydrogen that was bound to this carbon to be released thereby an increase in the gas volume, which is the intended reduction in the Calorific value and specific weight in the wake.
The process is carried out, for example, in the case of lignite as follows: The lignite is first carbonized in a manner known per se by means of any desired carbonization process - so-called low-temperature process - which, as is known, produces easily combustible semi-coke, natural tar and carbonization gas. In this way - after the raw gas has been cleaned of C02 or H2S - about 32 cbm of carbonization gas with an upper calorific value of 6,000 kcal / cbm and a specific weight of 0.72 are produced from 10,000 kg of medium brown coal.
By processing the original tar or the appropriate tar Part of this to oil gas becomes another 15 cbm of oil gas with a calorific value of 10,000 kcal / cbm and obtained from the specific gravity 0.86.
To achieve a calorific value of 4 500 kcal, like such in most Cities for whose gas supply is required nowadays to come, one could the just mentioned types of gas add 76.5 cbm of water gas (Ho = 2 8ookcal / cbm, s = 0.53), resulting in an end gas in an amount of 123.5 cbm with a calorific value of 45oo kcal / cbm and a specific weight of 0.62 would arise. To this is where the procedure is known; but the resulting mixed gas is its high Due to its specific weight, it is not suitable for use as town gas.
hin gerichteten Zersetzungsdestillation unterworfen.
