Description
-Verfahren ziirSerstellung longitudinalschwingender Quarzkristalle Eine eingehende Untersuchung der in einem piezo-elektrisch erregten Kristall auftretenden Schwingungszustände hat dazu geführt, festzustellen, daß in den Richtungen angenähert 48° bzw. angenähert 70° zur optischen Achse bevorzugte Strukturebenen durch die ganze Kristallstruktur .gehen. Die Strukturebenen sind dadurch charakterisiert, daß in der angenähert 7o°-Ebene die Ausbreitungsgeschwindigkeit des Schalles etwa 5 400 m ist, in der angenähert 48°-Ebene 7 700 m entsprechend den in den beiden Ebenen ganz verschiedenen Elastizitätsmodulen. Die Struktur zeigt, da.ß diese Ebenen in jeder Beziehung bevorzugte Ebenen sind und daß in ihnen die Kristallstruktur ganz besonders regelmäßig ausgebildet ist. Daraus ergibt sich.: ein. longitudinalschwingender Kristall, der seine Längsachse in diesen beiden Richtungen hat, zeigt besonders eindeutige und saubere Schwxngungsverhältnxsse.
