Verfahren zur Herstellung von Oxydkathoden Es gibt ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Oxydkathoden, bei welchen ein Trägerfaden zunächst mit einem Metall überzogen wird, um dann nachträglich oxydiert zu werden. Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren, einen solchen nachträglich zu oxydierenden Metallüberzug auf einen Draht herzustellen. Erfindungsgemäß geschieht dies auf elektrolytischem Wege. Am zweckmäßigsten wird der zu überziehende Draht zur Kathode gemacht, während die Lösung ein Salz desjenigen Metalls enthält, mit welchem die Kathode belegt werden soll. Eine besonders günstige Ausführungsform des Verfahrens besteht darin, daß man bei dem elektrolytischen Prozeß das reine Metall der Salzlösung als Anode benutzt. Hierdurch wird als besonderer Vorteil erreicht, daß das abgeschiedene Metall in der Salzlösung dauernd ersetzt wird. Man könnte nun so verfahren, daß man, um beispielsweise die alkalischen und erdalkalischen Elemente auf den Trägerfaden aufzubringen, wäßrige Lösungen von Salzen dieser Elemente verwendet. Nach einer weiteren Ausgestaltung der vorliegenden Erfindung aber nimmt man als Elektrolyten geschmolzene wasserfreie Salze der obigen Metalle, um sämtliche störenden Nebenprozesse bei der Elektrolyse zu vermeiden.
