In Fig. ι ist statt der cylindrischen hohlen Stange b, welche das Küken der gewöhnlichen Hähne ersetzt, ein hohler, an einer Seite offener Kolben b angewendet, welcher Oeffnungen a a1 besitzt. : Dieser Kolben ist durch eine Stopfbüchse, Lederstulpe u. s. w. c im Gehäuse dicht, geführt und wird durch den Druck in der Leitung in der Richtung des Pfeiles 1 bewegt, bis er gegen das Excenter d stöfst. Letzteres ist nun so angebracht, dafs der Kolben in seiner höchsten Stellung den Hahn schliefst, d.h. die Durchlafsöffnungen α α1 von der Stopfbüchse c verdeckt sind, also kein Wasser durchlassen. Soll der Hahn geöffnet werden, so dreht man das Excenter d so, dafs der Kolben b zurückgedrückt wird, bis die Oeffnungen α al nicht mehr von der Stopfbüchse c verdeckt werden, sondern freiliegen und dem Wasser den Durchgang gestatten. Bei dem Hahn Fig. 2 ist die Wirkung eine umgekehrte, da der Kolben b seine, offene Seite der Druckrichtung entgegensetzt. Hier öffnet der Druck in der Leitung den Hahn, während derselbe durch Drehung des Excenters in Richtung des Pfeiles geschlossen wird. Durch die Abänderung Fig. 3 wird hauptsächlich eine Veiiangsamung der Bewegung des Kolbens b bezweckt. Das Wasser nimmt seinen Weg von der Leitung aus durch die Oeffnungen k und α in den hohlen Theil des Kolbens b und gelangt von hier durch die Oeffnungen g in den Ausflufs i. In normalem Zustande ist der Hahn geschlossen, da der Druck in der Leitung den Kolben b so weit zurückdrängt, dafs die Oeffnungen α α von der Stopfbüchse c verdeckt werden. Wird der Kolben b durch Druck auf den Knopf h1 ganz verschoben, so dafs die Oeffnungen g von der Stopfbüchse c,· die Oeffnungen α von derjenigen c1 verdeckt werden, so bleibt der Hahn so lange geschlossen, als der Druck auf den" Knopf h1. fortdauert. Hört nun dieser Druck auf, so öffnet sich der Hahn durch den auf die Fläche m ausgeübten Druck der Leitung und schliefst sich alsdann langsam wieder dadurch, dafs die Oeffnungen α allmälig in die Stopfbüchse c eintreten und von dieser verdeckt werden. Dieses langsame Zurückgehen des Kolbens b wird dadurch bewirkt, dafs der Druck der Leitung bezw. das Wasser nichi direct auf die Fläche m drücken kann, sondern erst in die Kammer e eindringen mufs. Die Kammer e schliefst nämlich vermittelst der Stopfbüchse c1 nicht ganz dicht um den Kolben b, so dafs das Wasser ganz allmälig in die Kammer e eintreten kann und so langsam den Kolben b zurückdrängt.The modification of FIG. 3 mainly aims at increasing the movement of the piston b .
